Maybe she’s hidden somewhere behind the piles of dirty laundry, the daily ‘whack a mole’ challenges and a million and one expectations that you can’t keep up with.

The sheer volume of housework, the stress of ‘actual’ work and running round after everyone else means you don’t sit down til 9pm, exhausted and ready to rinse and repeat.

You’ve already ploughed money into miracle shakes and diet pills that promise you a flat tummy over night. You want your motivation back but you’re at a loose end… you feel like you’ve tried everything and now you’re exhausted, fed up and feel like crap.

And let me guess..

 You’ve also read that much blurb from THAT many fitness ‘influencers’ and magazines (and let’s not forget Sheila, who lives next door, who did a 5k one time and is now an ‘expert’) that you feel like you don’t know your arse from your elbow?

You’re ratty  and feel the guilt sink in as you snap at those around you. I mean, you know it’s not really them, it you. It’s the frustration of how you feel about yourself, your body and the impact it’s having on your relationships.. You know that if you could just get your sh*t together you’d feel like a nicer person to be around.

You find yourself declining girl’s nights out, date nights and pretty much anything else on the social calendar because even the thought of ‘getting ready’ fills you with dread. The dread of being snapped on a photo on social media that you HATE or even bumping into people who haven’t seen you for a while, who surely will be shocked at how much you’ve ‘let yourself go’.

Not to mention..

You just don’t feel comfortable in your own skin, your lack of confidence sees you pulling awkwardly on your clothes and hiding your body under black, loose, lack lustre clothing… You’ve even got to the point where you hate looking in the mirror at what looks back.

Your ‘other half’ tells you he loves you as you are and, you know what, you believe him but you just wish you could love yourself enough to feel it, to have sex with the light on, ANYTHING to feel like you again.

You find yourself wondering if this is it. But it wasn’t supposed to be like this, was it!?
